Training Courses

We offer these courses in either a closed or open format allowing you to either book bespoke training for a single company or join an open course for anyone wanting to take that course.

Construction training is a mix of teaching and examination with various different topics. This training aims to give candidates a general knowledge & understanding of the construction topic they are learning and giving them the opportunity to progress onto other higher level training courses or NVQ’s if the candidate is competent.

Renewals involve the repetition of a full course. If the standard requires the training to be renewed after a specified time, you can apply for a full grant for it, provided that it’s completed within that time period.

Refresher courses update knowledge and understanding in a shorter duration training course than the original, full training Course. 

The grant available for refresher training is 50% of the Tier 1, 2 or 3 rates given for the original full-length course. 

We will only support refreshers once a full training standard has been developed and is in place.

We are able to adapt courses to meet customer requirements on our core construction training delivery. 

If a specific course requires practical elements to the training such as “Abrasive Wheels”, the classroom element can be conducted remotely to reduce health risks and a suitable time can be arranged to complete the practical training in a safe environment where social distancing and effective control measures can be established to protect from COVID-19.

As a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO), we are recognised by the CITB as well as the British Construction Industry as a training provider who can deliver good quality training that meets the industry approved standards.

We are part of the CITB’s automated grant payments system, making it easier for clients to book approved courses with us for their workforce and be reimbursed for it.

The majority of the courses we deliver are CITB Approved under the short duration grant scheme.
