What is Construction Training?

Construction training is a mix of teaching and examination with various different topics. This training aims to give candidates a general knowledge & understanding of the construction topic they are learning and giving them the opportunity to progress onto other higher level training courses or NVQ’s if the candidate is competent.

What are Course Renewals?

Renewals involve the repetition of a full course. If the standard requires the training to be renewed after a specified time, you can apply for a full grant for it, provided that it’s completed within that time period.

What are Course Refreshers?

Refresher courses update knowledge and understanding in a shorter duration training course than the original, full training Course.

The grant available for refresher training is 50% of the Tier 1, 2 or 3 rates given for the original full-length course. We will only support refreshers once a full training standard has been developed and is in place.

Delegates must have successfully completed training to the Abrasive wheels theory standard (GET3098 or Refresher GET100) within the last 12 months, failure to have completed the Abrasive Wheels Theory Training within this period CITB Grant Claims will not be accepted by CITB for this course.

Harness Use and Inspection Course
