About Online IATP Asbestos Training Courses
Supporting the Asbestos Removal Operatives with Online Training as an Independent Asbestos Training Provider we are now delivering remote (IATP) approved courses.
To mitigate risk from COVID-19, Workforce Skills Support has adapted courses to be delivered via online systems as a safer option to face to face training as well as classroom-based courses. The courses will be delivered by an Asbestos works professional and they will be able to answer questions and queries throughout the live session.
Candidates will take an online exam to prove their knowledge and passing this will gain them a certificate in their course, this invigilated over video call in exam conditions.

The Asbestos Awareness Training course (also referred to as Cat A training) is for all workers including Managers, supervisors and operatives who are based on site, who may have the potential of coming into contact with Asbestos in the workplace.
This 1 day course is aimed at anyone that will come into contact with asbestos during their work activities. Building maintenance and supervisory personnel should also have this training to avoid putting others at risk. The training will cover the topics in appropriate detail, by means of both written and oral presentation, and by demonstration as necessary.
Non-Licensed Works with Asbestos Refresher – IATP Approved

This 1 day course is aimed at anyone that will come into contact with asbestos during their work activities. Building maintenance and supervisory personnel should also have this training to avoid putting others at risk. The training will cover the topics in appropriate detail, by means of both written and oral presentation, and by demonstration as necessary.
This 3 day training is aimed at those who come into direct contact with asbestos. The asbestos operative training will give those who work with an exposure to asbestos the correct skills to deal with the asbestos in order to keep themselves and others safe. No Prior experience with asbestos removal is required.
This training helps to provide the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to those in a supervisory role, allowing them to support others and ensure safety from asbestos in the workplace.
This 3 day course is aimed at the managers of asbestos removal projects. The manager course will teach managers to plan, and manage asbestos related works.

Workforce Skills Support is an Independent Asbestos Training Provider (IATP) delivering approved courses.
The IATP approval ensures all its members are independently audited to prove competence and compliance to regulations and legislation in relation to asbestos.
IATP works in co-operation with the HSE and are a not-for-profit organisation.
IATP membership allows us to deliver approved Asbestos training courses across the three types of training – Awareness (formerly Category A) Non-Licensable Asbestos Works (formerly Category B) and Licensable Works (formerly category C).
IATP is recognised under the ACAD, ARCA and CCDO card schemes.
