About This Course

The purpose of the safe use of power tools course is to provide candidates with the knowledge on how to select the most appropriate equipment for the task whilst taking into account the potential risks, also how to mitigate the risks through dynamic risk assessment and inspection regimes, this course is suitable for managers, supervisors and operatives and the course can be adapted to suit the equipment utilised within your organisation.

Who should attend

This course is designed for people in control of the workplace involving the use of work equipment on site who need familiarisation or refresher skills with the relevant regulations and safety relating to the use of power tools, it is suitable for operatives, supervisors and managers.

Duration: 3 – 4 Hours

Delivery

This is a classroom-based course with and demonstrations and practical group exercises. This course can be adapted to suit the client’s requirements. Training can be delivered on site using the client’s training room or at a convenient suitable location.

Course Aims

The aim of this course is to provide knowledge and understanding of responsibilities for persons in control of the workplace under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and relating legislation.
