Managing for Health and Safety

This course can be adapted to suit the client’s requirements and company procedures, training can be delivered on site using the client’s training room or at a convenient, suitable location.

Who should attend

This course is for anyone who requires a greater understanding of how to establish and implement Health and Safety Management systems for the workforce or individuals following the HSE’s Plan, Do, Check, Act approach which is an integral part of risk management, and is suitable for operatives, supervisors and managers.

Delivery

This course can be delivered remotely or classroom-based with group participation.

Max Delegates : 15 Face to Face (12 Remote) 
Duration : 3 – 4 Hours

Course Aims

The aim of this course is to provide a thorough understanding of how to minimise risk of injury to employees through the adoption of a systematic risk management approach.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this training, delegates will be able to:
Demonstrate an increased awareness of the risks
Understand how to avoid or reduce risks
Demonstrate an awareness of HSG 65 (Plan, Do, Check, Act)
Understand the importance of monitoring procedures for Health and Safety
Demonstrate knowledge regarding company policies and procedures

Identification of procedure shortfalls and reporting

If a candidate has been paid grant for a particular course in a lifetime, they will not be eligible for grant again for the same course, unless it has specific refresher standards published on the short duration course register.

If refresher course standards do exist for a particular course, then only one refresher is grant eligible in a lifetime for each candidate.
