CITB Large Employer Funding for 2026–2027

If your business is a large CITB levy-registered employer, you may be eligible for up to £18,000 towards training through the CITB Large Employer Fund (2026–2027). This fund is designed to support larger employers in continuing to invest in workforce development, particularly where traditional funding routes are limited.

At Workforce Skills Support (WSS), we help you turn funding into a practical training plan, not just a one-off course booking.

A funding pot of up to £18,000 available to large CITB levy-registered employers for the 2026–2027 year, designed to support workforce training and development.

Large employers can apply directly to CITB for funding support, with applications expected to clearly explain the need for the training, how it will benefit the workforce, and the outcomes it is intended to achieve. Any funding is subject to CITB approval and will be paid to the employer once the training plan has been approved or after evidence of completed training has been submitted.

The application must come directly from the employer. However, WSS can support you in building the training plan and preparing everything needed for submission.

"We didn’t use our CITB allowance fully and found the levels of funding varied hugely company to company, Workforce always knew we were keen to keep our NVQ funding as cost neutral as possible and often managed to achieve this. Having worked with Workforce Skills for several years now, they are our go to training agency for funded training courses, from initial application, right through to project close down with CITB, an absolute pleasure to deal with."
