classroom site safety plus

Our Site Safety Plus courses are delivered in person at a training centre or at your premises. The courses are delivered in a classroom environment where an experienced health, safety, and environment professional will deliver the training scheme to the high standards set by the CITB SSP with a mix of information, exercises, and end-of-course examinations.

online site safety plus

Workforce Skills Support has adapted courses to be delivered via online systems as a safer option to face-to-face training. These are courses that will be interactive, with a health and safety professional live on the system presenting the information and being available to answer questions or queries throughout.

Our Site Safety Plus courses are delivered in a remote environment via Zoom with an experienced health, safety, and environment professional. The training will be delivered to the high standards set by the CITB SSP with a mix of information, exercises, and end-of-course examinations.

We offer open courses that run on regular set dates and at various locations across all of our courses. These open courses can be booked and attended by anyone interested until the course is full.

We also offer closed courses; unlike open courses, these are exclusive to your employees. This allows us to tailor the training to meet your needs, meaning we can find a location and date that are convenient for you.

CITB is the Construction Industry Training Board, and they help the construction industry by supporting skill development. They also provide the industry with a selection of CITB-approved courses, including Site Safety Plus.

Site Safety Plus is an approved scheme of courses under CITB. These courses aim to give candidates vital knowledge for their role in construction. These courses range in knowledge level from an introduction to construction to the duties of a site manager.

CITB courses can now be taken remotely, allowing candidates to undertake training online by working with their tutor in an online meeting in the same way they would in a classroom setting. CITB has also introduced e-learning courses, where candidates can take training courses on their own using online resources.

  • Laptop or Computer – With camera function as you must be clearly visible to the tutor throughout the course

  • Your device requires a microphone and speakers to enable interaction between you, the tutor and other delegates

  • Access to reliable internet is an essential requirement and is the responsibility of each attendee

  • Email address and access to receive course materials and exam

  • Photographic ID – Drivers license/Passport etc.

  • Be able to access “Zoom Cloud Meetings” (link to the meeting will be provided by the centre)

  • You must complete and return the delegate information form prior to course attendance

  • Electronic CITB mandatory publications will be emailed prior to the course. Hardcopies maybe available upon request (please enquire at the booking stage)
