The Harness Use and Inspection Training Course is a classroom-based course with practical group participation.

There are no mandatory renewal or refresher for this standard.
The aim of this course is to enhance awareness and knowledge of the importance of working with harnesses and to be able to identify selection of equipment, how to minimise risks through the use of harnesses, inspection and storage procedures, medical and rescue procedures associated with a harness and lanyards.
The Harness Use and Inspection is for anyone whose work includes operating from a MEWP or working at a height requiring the wearing of a harness will benefit from this course. We also recommend personnel who supervise or manage these activities attend the course to gain a full understanding of the legislative requirements.
Where possible, we ask learners to bring their own harness to the training course for the practical element. Workforce Skills Support can supply a limited amount of equipment for training purposes; by providing your own equipment, the practical training will be tailored to the equipment you use.

Yes – all attendees will receive a CITB ATO Workforce Skills Support Certification upon successful completion of the course.
