ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Fabricating Steel Structures in Construction
The ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Fabricating Steel Structures Construction qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in this specialised area of construction.
Our assessor schedules the appointments with the candidate at times that work for both parties.
Since the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fabricating Steel Structures in Construction qualification is candidate-led, they can be completed swiftly once the majority of the evidence has been acquired for the proposed evidence list, a copy of which we've provided. After the evidence is gathered (by email), the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fabricating Steel Structures in Construction can be completed quickly in two to three sessions, lasting a few hours each, as long as the candidate can set aside time for the professional follow-up discussion to go over all of the given evidence.
The follow-up professional discussion can be completed face-to-face or remotely.

This qualification is the nationally-recognised ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Fabricating Steel Structures in Construction. It is designed for people working in the specialised area of steel fabrication within the construction industry.
With this qualification, you can demonstrate competence in tasks such as shaping fabricated steel components by material removal using hand tools, assembling steel fabrications to specification, manually forming components, and other specialised fabrication skills.
Common challenges include gathering the required evidence of competency in a real work environment, managing to complete the portfolio and professional discussion sessions in between work commitments, ensuring safety and compliance in steel fabrication tasks, and staying up to date with industry practices and tooling.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, you must be working in the relevant occupation (steel fabrication in construction) so you can provide the required work-based evidence. You’ll need to have good occupational understanding of steel fabrication processes, safety awareness, hand tool and assembly skills, and the ability to gather evidence in the workplace.

Assessment is competence-based and must be conducted in a relevant work environment. You must provide evidence of skill, knowledge and understanding against each unit in the qualification. This is internally assessed by a qualified assessor and externally quality-assured.

Yes. This qualification can lead to the CSCS Gold Skilled Worker card, provided you also have the CITB Operatives Health, Safety & Environment Test completed within the last two years when applying.
