Our assessor schedules the appointments with the candidate at times that work for both parties.
Since the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Operations (Construction) are candidate-led, they can be completed swiftly once the majority of the evidence has been acquired for the proposed evidence list, a copy of which we've provided. After the evidence is gathered (by email), the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Operations (Construction) can be completed quickly in two to three sessions, lasting a few hours each, as long as the candidate can set aside time for the professional follow-up discussion to go over all of the given evidence.
The follow-up professional discussion can be completed face-to-face or remotely.
1st visit – Induction, planning
2nd visit – discuss evidences, identify shortfall of evidences
3rd – visit – Discuss new evidences, cover shortfall in questions (if required) - completed

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Operations is a vocational qualification for individuals working with concrete in specialist roles within the construction industry. It assesses your competence in a range of concrete operations, including tasks such as concrete repair, sprayed concrete, decorative concrete finishes, drilling, sawing, and in situ flooring, based on your real workplace performance.
This qualification is for people employed in specialist concrete roles, such as concrete repairers, sprayed concrete operatives, decorative concrete workers, concrete drillers and sawers, in situ flooring operatives, concrete plant operators, and other concrete specialist roles who want formal recognition of their practical skills.

There are no formal academic entry requirements for this qualification. You should be employed in a relevant specialist concrete role and have access to a workplace environment where you can demonstrate your practical skills and generate evidence for assessment.
Assessment is workplace-based and may include a combination of on-site visits by a qualified assessor and remote support. It involves observation of your work, professional discussions, and review of your portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence in the specialist concrete tasks you undertake as part of your everyday job.
Yes, you can be eligible for the CSCS Blue Skilled Workers card, as long as you have completed the relevant Operative Health and Safety Test within 2 years of applying for the card. Please contact Workforce Skills Support for further CSCS experience and trainee card information.

Yes. The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Specialist Concrete Operations is regulated by OFQUAL and recognised nationally across the UK construction industry.
This qualification is eligible to claim the CITB Short Qualification Grant. If your employer is CITB-registered and meets the funding requirements, you may be able to claim a grant that reduces the net cost of the NVQ.
