NVQ Level 3 Construction Contracting Operations

This NVQ Level 3 Construction Contracting Operations Pathway is for site Supervisors that are working as an estimator and want to show their competence. During this qualification candidates are required to show that they can appoint the correct personnel to each task. The Qualification also requires candidates to complete several mandatory units such as, Developing and Maintaining Working Relationships and Identifying, assessing and measuring requirements on construction work sites.

This Pathway is for site supervisors that are working as a buyer, candidates undertaking this NVQ are required to be able to display their competence in several mandatory units. These units involve the maintenance of health, safety and welfare systems. Candidates also need to understand and prove the responsibility in evaluating and sourcing the materials required for construction projects.

This Pathway is for site supervisors that are working planning work and operations and want to show their competence. This qualification will give candidates several mandatory units to work through including the preparation of drawing and schedules, and assessing, planning and monitoring monitor project methods and progress. Candidates must also complete one optional unit.

This Pathway is for site supervisors that are working as a Surveyor on a Construction site and want to show their competence. During this qualification candidates are required to show that they can operate project information systems in construction while also being able to operate health, safety and welfare systems in construction. Candidates may also take optional units such as establishing and maintaining the dimensional control of works, recording the condition of property and implementing contract work.

This pathway is for those who are working in a site technical support role and want to prove their competence. Candidates are required to complete all mandatory units, some of which include establishing and maintaining the dimensional control of construction works, and operate project information systems in construction. Candidates must also complete one optional unit.

This pathway is for people working in a construction design coordinator role and want to prove their competence. To complete this qualification candidates must complete all of the mandatory units, which includes candidates being able to integrate and control project design information in construction and operating health, safety and welfare systems in construction. Candidates must also complete one optional unit, these include preparing drawing and schedules in construction.

This Pathway is for site managers working within a general Supervisory role, this NVQ requires candidates to take a selection of optional units that would best fit their current role. Examples of these units include, Evaluating Working Methods on site, Specifying and Controlling Production Documents and Plan Measured Surveys.
