Remote closed course - a dedicated course dedicated for the employer for a group of their employees to attend (day rate)

Our closed courses are delivered remotely, allowing participants to join from anywhere in the country without needing to travel to a physical venue. This flexible course delivery is ideal for individuals and teams looking to gain skills in a convenient, accessible way.

What are the requirements?

CITB Courses can now be taken remotely allowing for candidates to undertake training online by working with their tutor in an online meeting in the same way they would in a classroom setting. CITB has also introduced remote courses where candidates can take training courses on their own using online resources.

  • Laptop or Computer – With camera function as you must be clearly visible to the tutor throughout the course

  • Your device requires a microphone and speakers to enable interaction between you, the tutor and other delegates

  • Access to reliable internet is an essential requirement and is the responsibility of each attendee

  • Email address and access to receive course materials and exam

  • Photographic ID – Drivers license/Passport etc.

  • Be able to access “Zoom Cloud Meetings” or "Microsoft Teams" (link to the meeting will be provided by the centre)

  • You must complete and return the delegate information form prior to course attendance

  • Electronic CITB mandatory publications will be emailed prior to the course. Hardcopies maybe available upon request (please enquire at the booking stage)

Hand Arm Vibration in Construction Course Aims

The aim of this course is to provide knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with the use of equipment in the workplace that produces vibration and to ensure students understand their responsibilities under the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations.

The purpose of this standard is to provide basic awareness for recognising, managing, and mitigating the effects of hand-arm vibration. Hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) is also known as vibration white finger (VWF) and dead finger. It is a secondary form of Raynaud’s syndrome, an industrial injury triggered by the continuous use of vibrating hand-held machinery.
