This course can be adapted to suit the client’s requirements.
Training can be delivered on site using the client’s training room or at a convenient suitable location.

Who should attend our MEWP Courses

Those who use, supervise or manage the use of powered access, including scissor lifts, self-propelled boom lifts, trailer mounted boom lifts and aerial work platforms. Those who need to use only one category of powered access equipment should attend the Single Category course and those who need to use two categories of powered access equipment should attend the Dual Category course.

MEWP Course Aims:

To instruct an operator to prepare and safely operate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).

Duration : 6 - 7 Hours

MEWP Operator Course Learning Outcomes

On completion of this training, delegates will be able to:
Be aware of the relevant Health and Safety regulations
Be aware of accident prevention and control
Be aware of the needs regarding personnel protection
Be aware of the need to refer to the machine Operating Manual
Drive the MEWP safely and manoeuvre the machine as required, to correctly position and carry out the required tasks in a correct and proper manner, inside and outside a building

Full body Harness
Hi visibility vest/jacket
Hard hat.
Safety boots
Safety Glasses/ goggles
Suitable outer clothing in cold weather especially
Warm clothing for your comfort during the practical training sessions
This course is delivered by a 3rd party provider accredited on the IPAF scheme.

MEWP Operator Course Certification
Successful candidates receive an IPAF Powered Access Licence (PAL card) to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts (IPAF categories 3a & 3b). The IPAF operator licence is valid for 5 years from the date of training.
