The CITB Approved standard for Handling Materials in Woodworking course is a one-day practical training programme designed for supervisors, operatives and anyone involved in woodworking occupations who regularly handle timber, sheet materials, doors, windows, joinery products and other woodworking materials.
The course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to handle materials safely and efficiently while complying with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations and current industry best practice.
Combining classroom-based learning with practical exercises, delegates will develop an understanding of safe manual handling techniques, hazard identification, risk assessment and the selection and correct use of manual handling equipment. Training can also be tailored to incorporate the specific materials, handling aids and work activities used within your organisation, ensuring the learning is directly relevant to your workplace.
