To provide thorough practical and theory plant training in operating a MEWPS – Mast Climber, to enable the candidate to competently and safely carry out the role and pass the CPCS Theory and Practical Tests.

CPCS A27 Mobile Elevating Work Platform – Mast Climber Course Content 

To provide knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of controls and gauges
Identify and comply with manufacturers’ instructions in accordance with the operator’s handbook, other information sources and applicable legislation
Carry out pre-checks
Ensure the mast climber is sited and erected
Keep within safe working parameters
Place the plant machinery in an out-of-service condition
Prepare the platform to accept various loads
Raise and lower platform up to maximum working height in a loaded and unloaded state

What is the CPCS A27 Mobile Elevating Work Platform – Mast Climber Test?
To achieve the Red CPCS Trained Operator Card candidates must pass both the CSCS touch screen H+S test (within the last 2 years) and the CPCS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
