The Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations—Supervising Lifts is a vocational qualification designed for individuals who supervise and control lifting operations in the workplace. It is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively supervise the use of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment.
To enrol in the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations—Supervising Lifts, you must have a relevant level 3 qualification or relevant work experience in the lifting operations industry. Additionally, you must have access to a workplace where you can carry out the required assessments.
The NVQ covers a range of competencies related to controlling lifting operations, including supervising lifting operations, planning and preparing lifting operations, and maintaining safe working conditions. It also covers the legal and regulatory requirements for lifting operations, as well as risk assessment and emergency procedures.
The course is assessed through a combination of on-the-job assessments and written assignments. You will be required to demonstrate your competence in controlling lifting operations and provide evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the course content.
After completing the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations—Supervising Lifts, you will have the knowledge and skills required to work as a supervisor or manager in the lifting operations industry. You may also have the opportunity to progress to higher-level qualifications or take on additional responsibilities in your current role.
Yes, you can be eligible for the CPCS Blue Skilled Workers card, as long as you have completed the supervisory health and safety test within 2 years of applying for the card.
