we are an SQA approved centre workforce skills support

We recently had a visit from our SQA Regional Manager Sarah Stevenson, we have been working with Sarah since 2017. Sarah recently came to meet our new team members and provide guidance on our ever-expanding portfolio of SQA qualifications to complement our existing portfolio of qualifications and courses we are approved to deliver.

As an SQA-approved centre Workforce Skills Support is approved to deliver a range of NVQ Level 2 to Level 6 qualifications: –

Construction – Technical, Supervisory and Management

Construction – Operative and Specialisms

All qualifications are delivered by a team of dedicated, industry-experienced assessors and internal verifiers who can share their wealth of long-term industry experience with both candidates and employers.

Being an approved centre for NVQ qualifications enables us to work with Construction employers to help them improve skills across their organisation, increase their competitive edge, and respond to the many challenges across the sector.

We are passionate about the industry and knowledgeable when it comes to assisting employers with card and training-related enquiries, we also have the skills to support employers with queries relating to CITB grants on the achievement of NVQ qualifications in fact we have a dedicated webpage to offer support! https://workforceskillssupport.co.uk/support/

Information can be found on our website for Plant NVQs, NPORS and CPCS testing https://workforceskillssupport.co.uk/plant-nvqs/

Candidate NVQ observations would be conducted by an allocated assessor on-site at the candidates’ place of work, the assessor will guide candidates through each part of the process and provide the highest levels of support until the qualification is complete.

Fully Funding Future Skills Training

CITB is providing 100% funding for a limited period from January through to end of March to test fully funding future skills training.

As a CITB Levy registered company, you can benefit from 100% funding for a limited time from January through to the end of March to fully fund future skills.

This covers training such as Leadership and Management, Digital Skills, Net Zero and Green Skills. Training must be completed by the 31st March in order to qualify for full funding. This includes the following NVQ’s if they are enrolled before the end of March (NVQ’s do not need to be completed by this date):

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

NET ZERO

Insulation

Waterproofing

Roofing

What you need to know:

  • Company must be up to date with the annual CITB levy return and any related payments
  • Company needs to be signed up to the CITB Employer Networks, if not already, your regional advisor will do this with you
  • This is simplified funding – there will be no CITB Short Qualification Grant on achievement of this qualification
  • If delegates leave before completing and you have no replacement, you will have to cover the cost of the qualification to reimburse the CITB
  • Delegates will need to be enrolled before 31st March 2025
  • The same eligibility rules apply as for the CITB Grants and full details can be found in the Grants Scheme Policy see serial 5 for whom you can apply this for in your workforce
  • If you have an unspent Skills and Training fund, the possibility of funding via this route as an alternative may be explored first
