Our assessor schedules the appointments with the candidate at times that work for both parties.
Since the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Stonemasonry (Construction) are candidate-led, they can be completed swiftly once the majority of the evidence has been acquired for the proposed evidence list, a copy of which we've provided. After the evidence is gathered (by email), the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Stonemasonry (Construction) can be completed quickly in two to three sessions, lasting a few hours each, as long as the candidate can set aside time for the professional follow-up discussion to go over all of the given evidence.
The follow-up professional discussion can be completed face-to-face or remotely.

3rd – visit – Discuss new evidences, cover shortfall in questions (if required) - completed

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Stonemasonry (Construction) is a vocational qualification for individuals working in stonemasonry roles. This NVQ is designed for people employed in stonemasonry roles on construction or heritage projects, including stone fixers, memorial masons, stone cutters, cladding installers, and heritage masons who want formal recognition of their practical skills and occupational competence.

There are no formal academic entry requirements for this qualification. You must, however, be employed in a stonemasonry role and have access to your normal workplace activities so you can demonstrate and provide real workplace evidence as part of the assessment.
Assessment is workplace‑based and focuses on evidence of your day‑to‑day stonemasonry tasks. A qualified assessor will observe your work in the workplace and review your portfolio of evidence showing the skills and knowledge you use in real job situations. There are no classroom exams; assessment is based on the work you already do.
Yes, you can be eligible for the CSCS Blue Skilled Workers card, as long as you have completed the relevant Operative Health and Safety Test within 2 years of applying for the card. Please contact Workforce Skills Support for further CSCS experience and trainee card information.

Yes. The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Stonemasonry (Construction) is regulated by OFQUAL and recognised nationally across the construction industry as evidence of occupational competence.
Yes. This qualification is eligible to claim the CITB Short Qualification Grant. If your employer is CITB‑registered and meets the funding criteria, you may be able to claim the grant which reduces the net cost of the NVQ after completion.
