Course Information

This course is designed for people in control of the workplace involving lifting operations and the use of work equipment on site who need familiarisation or refresher skills with the relevant regulations. It is suitable for operatives who need to use the workplace equipment, supervisors who will monitor the use of workplace equipment, and managers who will ensure all site equipment is managed for ongoing compliance with the legislation.

The PUWER and Loler course will provide an understanding of the provision and use of work equipment regulations (PUWER) and lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations to ensure organisational compliance with this legislation.

This course can be adapted to suit the client’s requirements.
Training can be delivered on site using the client’s training room or at a convenient, suitable location.

To take part in a remote tutor-led course, you’ll need:

  • Laptop or computer with a working camera – you must remain visible to the tutor throughout the session

  • Reliable internet connection – essential for participating in the full course
  • Email address – to receive course materials and exam instructions
  • Photographic ID – such as a driving licence or passport
  • Access to Zoom or Microsoft Teams – a meeting link will be sent prior to the course

Candidates whose first language is not English are welcome to attend. However, all courses are conducted, assessed/marked and certificated in English.

To successfully complete the course, candidates must have a sufficient level of English to:

  • Undertake the course requirements
  • Understand the course they are registered for
  • Recognise the purpose of undertaking it

For candidates whose first language is not English, the use of a bilingual dictionary in book form (not electronic or translator devices) is permitted during assessment.
