Our assessor schedules the appointments with the candidate at times that work for both parties.
Since the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering are candidate-led, they can be completed swiftly once the majority of the evidence has been acquired for the proposed evidence list, a copy of which we've provided. After the evidence is gathered (by email), the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering can be completed quickly in two to three sessions, lasting a few hours each, as long as the candidate can set aside time for the professional follow-up discussion to go over all of the given evidence.
The follow-up professional discussion can be completed face-to-face or remotely.
1st visit – Induction, planning
2nd visit – discuss evidences, identify shortfall of evidences
3rd – visit – Discuss new evidences, cover shortfall in questions (if required) - completed

The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering is a vocational qualification designed for experienced plasterers. It assesses your competence in advanced plastering skills such as solid plastering or fibrous plasterwork, producing complex finishes and mouldings, and carrying out specialist plastering tasks in your real workplace environment.
This NVQ is for people employed in plastering roles who want to develop and formally demonstrate their advanced plastering skills. It is suitable for solid plasterers, fibrous plasterers, and specialist operatives who have experience in plastering and want a recognised qualification that reflects their competence.

There are no formal academic entry requirements for this qualification. You should, however, already be working in a plastering role or have relevant experience so that you can gather real workplace evidence of your skills and competence for assessment. Many candidates choose this route after completing the Level 2 NVQ or with significant industry experience in plastering.
Assessment is workplace‑based and may include one to three visits from a qualified assessor. It involves observation of your practical work, professional discussions, review of a portfolio of evidence, and confirmation of competence in the specific tasks and units you complete as part of your normal work role. Evidence might include photos, job sheets, method statements, and other documentation demonstrating your ability to meet national occupational standards.
Yes, you can be eligible for the CSCS Gold Skilled Workers card, as long as you have completed the relevant Operative Health and Safety Test within 2 years of applying for the card. Please contact Workforce Skills Support for further CSCS experience and trainee card information.
