WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This course is for anyone who is involved in manual handling within the workplace. This includes the transport of loads of items by lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving by hand or by bodily force. This isn’t limited to, but includes professions such as construction and building site workers, warehouse and factory staff, heavy manual labourers, unloading and loading of vehicles, office workers, delivery drivers, etc.

The Manual Handling Training course is to provide theoretical knowledge and practical application of manual handling techniques in accordance with current legislation and will assist with organisational compliance with statutory requirements.

This course can be adapted to suit the client’s requirements.
Training can be delivered on site using the client’s training room or at a convenient, suitable location.

Candidates whose first language is not English are welcome to attend. However, all courses are conducted, assessed/marked and certificated in English.

To successfully complete the course, candidates must have a sufficient level of English to:

  • Undertake the course requirements
  • Understand the course they are registered for
  • Recognise the purpose of undertaking it

For candidates whose first language is not English, the use of a bilingual dictionary in book form (not electronic or translator devices) is permitted during assessment.

Yes – all attendees will receive a CITB ATO Workforce Skills Support Certification upon successful completion of the course. 

While it is not a regulated qualification, it is designed to meet industry needs and support workforce development.
