Brief Description:
The Dust Awareness in Construction course is delivered to the CITB standards and is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the health risks associated with exposure to hazardous dusts commonly encountered within the construction industry.
This course provides delegates with the knowledge required to recognise common sources of construction dust, understand how exposure can affect health and identify appropriate measures for preventing or reducing exposure.
The training reinforces the importance of controlling dust at source through effective planning, suitable work methods, engineering controls such as water suppression and local exhaust ventilation (LEV), and the correct selection and use of respiratory protective equipment (RPE) where required.
