The Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety has been designed for people who have an element of responsibility for and reviewing health and safety in the workplace. Typical roles include Team Leader, Supervisor, Safety Representative, Manager, Head of Department or equivalent. It is a vocational qualification with no formal examinations.
Our assessor schedules the appointments with the candidate at times that work for both parties.
Since the Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health are candidate-led, they can be completed swiftly once the majority of the evidence has been acquired for the proposed evidence list, a copy of which we've provided. After the evidence is gathered (by email), the NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety can be completed quickly in two to three sessions, lasting a few hours each, as long as the candidate can set aside time for the professional follow-up discussion to go over all of the given evidence.
The follow-up professional discussion can be completed face-to-face or remotely.
1st visit – Induction, planning
2nd visit – discuss evidences, identify shortfall of evidences
3rd – visit – Discuss new evidences, cover shortfall in questions (if required) - completed

This Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety qualification is a certification programme that provides recognition of an individual's competence in the health and safety role and in the field of health and safety management. It is a UK-based qualification that is internationally recognised and demonstrates the holder's ability to implement, manage, and monitor OHS policies and procedures.

This NVQ meets academic requirements for IOSH Technical Membership.
To obtain this NVQ, you will need to be in the job, which usually takes around 12 months to complete. During the course, you will develop your knowledge and skills in managing OHS policies and procedures, risk assessment and control, and monitoring and reviewing workplace safety. You will also be required to complete practical assessments and work-based projects to demonstrate your competence in the field.
Anyone who is currently working in the field of health and safety management systems or roles or who is interested in pursuing a career in this field is eligible to take this NVQ. There are no formal entry requirements, although some prior knowledge or experience in the field is essential.
The Level 3 is typically the recommended starting point before moving on to the Level 6 in Occupational Health And Safety qualification. This higher level qualification is what employers look for in HSE Managers, Advisors and Consultants.
