Job Title: NVQ Coordinator & Learner Support

Location: Mansfield Business Centre, Ashfield Avenue, Mansfield, NG18 2AE.

Salary: £28,000 a year – Full-time

Job Type: Full-time

Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday

Work location: In person

About Us:

At Workforce Skills Support, we pride ourselves on being the UK’s foremost construction training provider. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive NVQ Coordinator & Learner Support to manage and assist the learner journey within our construction training NVQs. You will be responsible for coordinating new learner allocations, monitoring progress reports, compiling data, and handling escalations. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, analytical, and communication skills, ensuring that all learners receive the support they need while meeting client expectations and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Learner Coordination & Support:

  • Manage the allocation of new learners to appropriate assessors and NVQ qualifications.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new learners, providing guidance and support.
  • Act as the main point of contact for learners, assessors, and clients regarding program updates and learner progress.
  • Handling sensitive information in line with GDPR policy

Progress Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track and monitor learner progress through monthly progress reports.
  • Compile, analyse, and present data on learner performance for internal and external.
  • Identify and address any barriers to learner success, escalating issues where necessary.

Client & Management:

  • Prepare and deliver reports for clients, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with assessors, employers, and learners to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure all learner records and documentation are up to date and meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Support internal audits and compliance checks as required.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance the learner experience.
  • Handle escalations at all levels, ensuring timely and effective resolutions

Key Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in a coordination, learner support, or administrative role within an NVQ, apprenticeship, or training environment.
  • Strong data management and reporting skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret learner progress data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with learners, assessors, and clients effectively.
  • Ability to handle escalations professionally and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and learner management systems (LMS).
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and organized approach to workload management.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of NVQ qualifications or vocational training processes.
  • Experience in working with compliance and regulatory frameworks in education/training.
