Our assessor schedules the appointments with the candidate at times that work for both parties.
Since the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heritage Skills (Construction): Fully Supported Lead & Hard Metal Roofing and Cladding are candidate-led, they can be completed swiftly once the majority of the evidence has been acquired for the proposed evidence list, a copy of which we've provided. After the evidence is gathered (by email), the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heritage Skills (Construction): Fully Supported Lead & Hard Metal Roofing and Cladding can be completed quickly in two to three sessions, lasting a few hours each, as long as the candidate can set aside time for the professional follow-up discussion to go over all of the given evidence.

There are no formal academic requirements. You should be employed in a relevant leadwork or hard metal roofing/cladding role so that you can gather real workplace evidence of your competence for assessment. Relevant industry experience and access to typical job activities are necessary.
Assessment is workplace‑based and may include on‑site observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies, and the compilation of a portfolio of evidence. A qualified assessor will verify your competence in tasks such as planning and preparing work, installing and maintaining roofing and cladding systems, and applying heritage conservation practices in your normal job role.
Yes, you can be eligible for the CSCS Gold Skilled Workers card, as long as you have completed the relevant Operative Health and Safety Test within 2 years of applying for the card. Please contact Workforce Skills Support for further CSCS experience and trainee card information.
