This course is aimed at anyone who may be required to work, supervise, or manage the workplace environment or waste or who may need familiarisation with the necessary statutory procedures for controlling these in the workplace.

The course covers all aspects of environmental management, including what is required under UK and EU legislation, how to put an environmental management system in place and what can be done in the workplace to safely manage waste, pollution and other risks to the environment.

In-house classroom delivery – We come to your site

To take part in a remote tutor-led course, you’ll need:

  • Laptop or computer with a working camera – you must remain visible to the tutor throughout the session
  • Microphone and speakers – to interact with the tutor and other delegates
  • Reliable internet connection – essential for participating in the full course
  • Email address – to receive course materials and exam instructions
  • Photographic ID – such as a driving licence or passport
  • Access to Zoom or Microsoft Teams – a meeting link will be sent prior to the course

Candidates whose first language is not English are welcome to attend. However, all courses are conducted, assessed/marked and certificated in English.

To successfully complete the course, candidates must have a sufficient level of English to:

  • Undertake the course requirements
  • Understand the course they are registered for
  • Recognise the purpose of undertaking it

For candidates whose first language is not English, the use of a bilingual dictionary in book form (not electronic or translator devices) is permitted during assessment.

Yes – all attendees will receive a CITB ATO Workforce Skills Support Certification upon successful completion of the course. 

While it is not a regulated qualification, it is designed to meet industry needs and support workforce development.
