Asbestos Awareness UKATA Course Information
This UKATA Asbestos Awareness course is for general builders, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, scaffolders, and other trades involved in construction and maintenance activities, and is suitable for those carrying out operative, supervisor, management and leadership roles. It aims to educate them on the types and locations of asbestos as well as the dangers that come with asbestos in the workplace. You will gain a UKATA Accredited Certification upon completion.
This UKATA Accredited Asbestos Awareness course covers the dangers of asbestos and where the Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) can be found, in line with regulatory requirements laid out in Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

To take part in a remote tutor-led course, you’ll need:
- Laptop or computer with a working camera – you must remain visible to the tutor throughout the session
- Microphone and speakers – to interact with the tutor and other delegates
- Reliable internet connection – essential for participating in the full course
- Email address – to receive course materials and exam instructions
- Photographic ID – such as a driving licence or passport
- Access to Zoom or Microsoft Teams – a meeting link will be sent prior to the course
