Our assessor schedules the appointments with the candidate at times that work for both parties.
Since the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Welding Construction Pipework are candidate-led, they can be completed swiftly once the majority of the evidence has been acquired for the proposed evidence list, a copy of which we've provided. After the evidence is gathered (by email), the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Welding Construction Pipework can be completed quickly in two to three sessions, lasting a few hours each, as long as the candidate can set aside time for the professional follow-up discussion to go over all of the given evidence.
The follow-up professional discussion can be completed face-to-face or remotely.
1st visit – Induction, planning
2nd visit – discuss evidences, identify shortfall of evidences
3rd – visit – Discuss new evidences, cover shortfall in questions (if required) - completed

The Level 3 Diploma in Welding Construction Pipework is a competence-based qualification that develops and recognises the skills, knowledge, and ability of individuals working in or entering the welding and pipework sector. Much of the qualification is completed through practical work in your workplace. Assessors may liaise with you via phone, email, or video call for guidance and review of your evidence. Workplace-based assessments will capture your competency in a real working environment.
There are no formal entry requirements to undertake the Level 3 Diploma in Welding Construction Pipework. However, candidates should be employed (or in a suitable placement) in a role where they perform welding and pipework duties. This ensures they can collect the workplace evidence required to demonstrate competence.
Assessment is competency-based and carried out through on-site observation, practical demonstrations, and collection of naturally occurring evidence from your work. A qualified assessor will review your evidence and compile a portfolio demonstrating that you meet the national occupational standards for welding construction pipework.
Yes, you can be eligible for the CSCS Gold Skilled Worker card, as long as you have completed the CITB Operatives level Health, safety and environment test within 2 years of applying for the card.
