WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This industrial counterbalance forklift training course is designed for people who require training on the safe operational procedures for using industrial counterbalance forklift trucks to manoeuvre loads, including bulk stacking procedures and maintenance and inspection procedures, or who require refresher training on the safe operational practices.

This is a classroom-based and onsite practical operation of the Industrial Counterbalance forklift truck with demonstrations and individual practical exercises and assessments. Relevant types and sizes of forklift trucks used by operatives must be made available for all practical elements of the course.

This course can be adapted to suit the client’s requirements on load types and forklift truck size. Training can be delivered on site using the client’s training room or at a convenient location, and an industrial forklift truck needs to be made available by the client or site.

Candidates whose first language is not English are welcome to attend. However, all courses are conducted, assessed/marked and certificated in English.

To successfully complete the course, candidates must have a sufficient level of English to:

  • Undertake the course requirements
  • Understand the course they are registered for
  • Recognise the purpose of undertaking it

For candidates whose first language is not English, the use of a bilingual dictionary in book form (not electronic or translator devices) is permitted during assessment.
