Those who hold a valid SWQR Certification/Card can renew at any time within its last year of validity without losing any of the time left on the card.

Duration: 2 day

Delivery

This 2 day course is to refresh the knowledge of the delegates in preparation for undertaking the required question papers, delegates will be required to sit a question paper for each certificate.

Course Aims

The re-assessment is to ensure you still retain current knowledge regarding the safe working practices for monitoring and supervising excavations, maintenance, backfilling and reinstatement of footpaths and highways to meet the requirements of government legislation.

NRSWA Supervisor Refresher Course Units

Key certification for the Street Works Qualification are units 001 & 010, you will be required to undertake a question paper for these units, plus any of the other units you wish to retain as part of your reassessment:

Key Points of the New Regulations

Cards won’t have an expiry date, instead you will have certificate expiry dates.
You can add certificates to your card at any point, each certificate will last for 5 years.
When a certificate approaches expiry you will be able to renew it any time in its last year without losing the unexpired portion. Ex you renew a certificate with 10 months left, your new certificate will last for 5 years and 10 months.
You can take your re-assessment more than a year before it expires but the new certificate will last for 6 years maximum only.
A certificate is not valid once it has expired but it can be renewed by re-assessment any time up to 5 years after this date. Useful if you stop doing streetworks for a while then return to the industry.
