Candidates can get the temporary trainee card without any qualifications however they need to be registered to complete a construction related qualification, to get a permanent card the candidates will need to have completed the qualification they are registered for.

Candidates must provide the following evidence as minimum:

Full Qualification Title
Date of Registration (must be in the last 2 years)
How do I get a CSCS Red Trainee Card?
In order to apply for this card candidates must have an in date CITB Health, Safety & Environment test and must also be a trainee and must be registered to complete construction related qualification, this may be vocational, academic or professional.
How long does the CSCS Red Trainee Card last for?
The Red Trainee Card is valid for 5 years, within this time candidates are expected to have completed their registered qualification.
Can I renew the CSCS Red Trainee Card?
No, the trainee worker card is not available to be renewed as candidates are expected to have completed their qualification, however the card can be extended if the qualification has been delayed or is taking an extended period of time.
