The CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card is for those with on-the-job experience who are also registered to complete a construction-related NVQ or SVQ. This card is temporary and candidates will be upgraded to the Blue Skilled Worker Card upon completion of their NVQ.
How do I get a CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card?
To apply for this card, candidates must have an in-date CITB Health, Safety & Environment test, on-the-job experience, and must also be registered to complete a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ at Level 2 or higher
What evidence do I need for a CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card?
Candidates must provide the following evidence as minimum;
Full Name
Full Qualification Title
Date of Registration (must be in the last 2 years)
How long does the card last?
The Experienced Worker Card is valid for 1 year and is non-renewable, candidates are expected to have completed their qualification before the expiration of this card, however, the card can be extended for 6 additional months, if the qualification is still being completed.
Can you work on-site with this card?
Yes, however, the Red Experienced Worker Card will only give temporary access for 18 months at most. Upon completion of this associated NVQ or SVQ candidates will get a Blue Skilled Worker Card which is a permanent card only requiring a renewal of the appropriate Health and Safety Operative Test if not completed in the last 2 years.
