NPORS Cable Avoidance Tool Training - CAT & Genny (N304) Course Aims

The NPORS Cable Avoidance Tool Training is a short course that addresses both the theory and practical aspects of safely using a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Signal Generator (Genny). Students will be taught the essentials of how to use the equipment before a practical element where they will be shown how to correctly trace and mark underground service lines. Training is delivered in line with HSG 47 for Avoiding Danger from Underground Services.

If refresher course standards do exist for a particular course, then only one refresher course is eligible in a lifetime for each candidate.
